The Stone Doesn't Deserve the Poor Media He is Received

Ever sinceAThe Rock's come back to WWE at the Royal Rumble in January, he has been the victim of bad press, and it's maybe not his fault. A few full-time performers have gone on record to voice their displeasure within the WWE depending on part-time wrestlers such As The Great One. Heat continued to put down on him, although he left WrestleMania 29 after the event concluded due to a then-unknown harm and missed Monday Night Raw. But Rock does not deserve the negative press he is received. It's not his fault he was handed subject to a principal function pursue not being with the company for several years. It is the WWE's problem. World Wrestling Entertainment is depending so very hard on part-time guys like Rock, Triple H, the Brock and Undertaker Lesnar to offer pay-per-views because they have proven they could offer. These four men in a match, both on tv or at a meeting like WrestleMania, is really a match that's planning to work. Even without being on television week out and week in, they can step back in the squared circle and set on the fans that are engaged by a five-star match. Many WWE wrestlers have voiced their thoughts about part-timers in the present WWE. Cody Rhodes told 106.7 The Fan DC: I enjoy the Rock, and the fact Brock, and Jericho are here because theyare assured. Theyave proven they can get in the ring. For WrestleMania in 2013, I think itas wonderful...Whoas a bigger celebrity compared to the Rock? But next year, at WrestleMania 30, itas an individual goala'and I know Dolph (Ziggler) could be the same way, Wade (Barrett) is probably the same waya'that itas not about getting anyone right back. Allow these men get home. They did every thing they possibly could, let them go home. Both CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler echoed Rhodes' record. Will it be nice to see more of the younger and full-time stars headlining shows? Sure. But when big events roll around and these men can not offer, what's the WWE to complete? Vince McMahon and company aren't in the wrestling business, they're in the moneymaking business. Bigger and more established names attract larger numbers and ergo make the organization more money. John Cena taking on Rock, Hollywood movie star, is going to do more for the WWE in the short run than Dolph Ziggler facing someone else on the list. The present World champion is a superb supplier and player, but he doesn't have exactly the same name recognition as Rock. Reasonable or not, Ziggler will not be on daytime television or evening talk shows plugging the WWE. Could Rock be blamed to take a big salary to take the silver once more and appear on several shows? Perhaps the grumbling from the others on the list is motivated by envy and nothing more. Through the use of Rock, the WWE increased the buy rates for the events he appeared at. Wrestlezone.com noted that the 2013 Rumble received 498,000 buys, up from 438,000 buys the previous year. Though it was below the 2008 event, which received 575,000, buys, this was still a marked improvement. For Elimination Chamber, the big event drew 210,000 buy rates. This, too, was a noticable difference from 2012, which drew 178,000. WrestleMania 29 get charges are not out yet. Despite the fact that some wrestling web sites imagine the numbers will be low, the event did pull the largest live door for just about any WWE show in its history. It received $12.3 milliona'also a Stadium recorda'and drew 80,676 supporters, the 2nd most-attended WrestleMania, behind only WrestleMania III. Rockas quick departure from WrestleMania 29 and failure to seem on Raw the following night continued the bad press and heat. In accordance with PWInsider (h/t Wrestlinginc.com) heat on Rock expelled somewhat although their displeasure was still voiced by some, when term leaked of his injury. Particular wrestlers backstage thought when they work injured, so might Rock. But this heat doesn't be deserved by Rock possibly, for the same cause Rhodes, Punk and Ziggler were stressing about: He's a part-time wrestler. Want it or not, his biggest concern isn't arriving at the band to cut a coupon but making sure they can still do his day job, which will be making million-dollar Hollywood images. Double H tore his quad within a fit in 2001. Inspite of the damage, he finished the bout. Stone experienced split abductor and ab muscles all through his attack with Cena. Rather than preventing the match, it was finished by him. As Triple H did when he took his quadriceps muscle during a match he finished the session like a professional in very similar way. When it counted most shouldn't Rock be suggested for his professionalism? In the primary event of the largest show of the year, he suffered a painful injury and still finished the bout with most in attendance unaware that any such thing was wrong. Mick Foley, hardcore tale and the man known for punishing his body, took to Twitter to defend Rock. He wrote: Instead of announcing on Raw the night time after WrestleMania that Rock wouldn't be there, and pulling a of boos, the WWE has been genuine. They may have introduced Rock's damage for those who did not know or don't follow him on Twitter. Rock has been just a class act all through his time with the WWE. He has done everything the WWE requested of him and paid him to accomplish. He doesn't deserve some of the bad press he is received.
