Iker Casillas admits rift with Mourinho - FOXSports.com

UpdatedAApr 25, 2013 10:45 PM ET Iker Casillas has admitted that he has a romance with Jose Mourinho, but insists it generally does not affect Real Madrid. Spain's number one goalkeeper has not played for Real since January after breaking a in his hand and has seen his invest the side taken by Diego Lopez. And speculation has been rife that Casillas may even turn in a transfer request should Mourinho still be responsible at the Bernabeu next period. He said: "Our professional relationship is extremely polite but on the non-public side it's apparent that individuals don't have the same relationship. Xabi Alonso said a similar thing and I do not think we need to keep going round in circles. I will say again, above every thing could be the club." The 31-year-old also proved he's one hundred thousand fit and vowed to fight to gain his place back from Lopez. "I think it is obvious that I am OK to play," he continued. "I am always at the disposition of the director and to attempt to help the staff but somebody else chooses, not me. I am happy because for the past month my hand has been great and in the long run what I have to complete is wait for my chance and take it when it comes. "After 90 days without playing, I am just like a kid attempting to make his debut. "I won't desist for just one minute. It's best for Diego Lopez since he will be pushed by me and he'll maybe not relax. He's had excellent shows. He has helped the group reach where it is."
