Talking with Tottenham Hotspur website Cartilage Free Captain in front of the North... - The Brief Blend

Ted Harwood: So it appears like Clint Dempsey and Tom Huddlestone may be out for Sunday, in addition to perhaps Jermain Defoe--if none of them could go, who you think will start? Or does it just be a keeper and Gareth Bale? Kevin McCauley: I believe that individuals could win most games with Hugo Lloris, Gareth Bale and nine uniforms. But really, Dempsey should really be behind both Lewis Holtby and Gylfi Sigurdsson in the pecking order at this point, and Tom Huddlestone is a complete non-factor at this point. The only shortage that hurts is Defoe, given Emmanuel Adebayor's horrible completing and record to getting sent down against Arsenal, but his work rate and tendency to fall deep probably assists Bale score more goals. I expect you'll see Adebayor, Bale, Lennon and Holtby in strike, although Sigurdsson's new activities make him an issue. Ted Harwood: How much does it hurt you guys to not have Sandro at this time? Is Flight Captain Parker a huge step down only at that point? Kevin McCauley: It affects a lot. Scott Parker has been inadequate. I am hoping that he only wants games to restore his old form, but currently, the team is actively hurt by him. He is nowhere near as athletic as Sandro and can not protect offers that catch the team out of defensive position. He does not have anywhere close to the selection of passing, which is saying a great deal, since Sandro is a pretty minimal passer. For some reason, Parker's wound up before Dembele a lot, wanting to hit through balls and diagonals. He is bad at them. I believe we should begin Jake Livermore or Tom Carroll. Parker is a bad player at this point in time. Ted Harwood: It seems like plenty of people were shocked that Jan Vertonghen started at left back against West Ham. Do you think he'll move back to the middle on Sunday, and does everyone in the Arsenal top three really worry you against Spurs' defense? Kevin McCauley: I think he'll go back to the center, or even to the seat. I think it was a tactical choice for the West Ham sport, to have extra person who's competent at defending set pieces. Benoit Assou-Ekotto should start at left right back. I'm not entirely certain which two central defenders will start against Arsenal, that is anyone's guess. The Arsenal top three don't fear me at all, but set item defending and Wilshere's works through the center do. Ted Harwood: No concern with Theo Walcott, at least maybe not at 0-0, then? Kevin McCauley: I worry Theo Walcott getting a tap-in because somebody must step up on Wilshere to wash up after Parker and Dembele. I really do not fear him making anything by himself, no. A goal could be well ( actually, probably will ) scored by him very, but it is because he is in the right location to capitalize on a screw up and a chance designed for him, on their own not because he beats a couple defenders. Ted Harwood: That is most certainly not one of his skills, no. Do you've any feelings about Arsenal's January signing Nacho Monreal, and how can you think he'll do against Aaron Lennon? Kevin McCauley: Aaron Lennon has actually gone silent recently, but he'd among the best activities of his life against Manchester United, pretty much left the right flank wide open and when Ferguson chose to focus on Bale. I love Nacho Monreal a great deal and I don't think he'll have too many problems if he's some type of help, which he must at all times, but Lennon abuses just about anybody in pure one-on-one battles. His success will undoubtedly be down seriously to how Arsenal decides to protect that flank. Unless it is abandoned by them, Monreal must maintain his own just fine. Lennon may get some place, Ted Harwood: When it is Podolski on that flank with him. Do you have a favorite NLD memory you had like to share? Kevin McCauley: This 1 was a massive WTF. I do believe that most Tottenham supporters were just about resigned to defeat at halftime. Hell, lots of us thought it had been over after Nasri's target. This is the best one not merely because we won, but because of how surprising it was. Anybody who tells you they felt that comeback coming is a liar. I still don't believe that it simply happened. Ted Harwood: Much more shocking: Marouane Chamakh scored for the reason that sport. Kevin McCauley: Who is that? Ted Harwood: I really do not recall, but my memory is a little..."cloudy." Ted Harwood: So, given Tottenham's present form, and given that the match is at White Hart Lane, how confident are you entering Sunday? Kevin McCauley: I do believe that Tottenham would be the better team at this time. That might not really matter. I truly hate 'put the form book out the window' derby garbage (what the f*ck is just a form book anyway?), but Spurs are usually with the capacity of Spursing it down. Tottenham probably get a result at the Emirates earlier this season if Emmanuel Adebayor doesn't get sent off, but that kind of stuff happens all the time. I am confident that if a defender does not fall flat on his face after falling on a, and if nobody gets sent off, we'll at the very least sketch. Arsenal's present defense and defensive midfield condition, along with Bale's variety and Wenger's resistance, suggests in my experience that he must be in a position to have quite a good game. If Arsenal focus in on him, I like his United performance to be repeated by Lennon. I do not think there is anything that Arsenal do a lot better than Spurs at this time, and I love how we match against you, but Spurs are Spurs. We like inventing new methods to mess up.
