EPL history could be made by west Brom youngster - San Francisco Chronicle

WEST BROMWICH, England (AP) a West Bromwich Albion midfielder Isaiah Brown will end up the youngest person to function in a League match if he's given his debut in Saturday's match against Chelsea. At 16 years and 54 days, Brown could defeat the present record a' held by Fulham left straight back Matthew Briggs since 2007 a by 11 days. West Brom got the England under-17 international out of school, where he's preparing to just take exams, to train with the team this week after injuries to many players. Manager Steve Clarke said Brown have been a part of the party for the fit at Stamford Bridge and features a possibility of being among the replacements. Brown could be West Brom's second newest debutant. Joe Hodgetts was 16 years, 26 days when he performed against Notts Country in 1940.
