Villas-Boas in Real link - Clubcall

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is being linked with a move to Real Madrid, should Jose Mourinho leave the Bernabeu.

Rumours are rife that Mourinho will head for pastures new at the end of the season and Villas-Boas has emerged as a surprise contender following an impressive season with Tottenham. The Portuguese tactician's reputation took a battering after he was sacked as manager of Chelsea just months into the role but he has built it back up as Tottenham have mounted a push for Champions League football.Fellow countryman Juan Mata, who played under Villas-Boas at Stamford Bridge, says he is confident the 35-year-old could manage any club in the World and be a success."He's able to train any team," Mata revealed. "He's a great coach, modern and young but with experience and qualifications, although his time at Chelsea did not go well at all."
