La Lakers: Why Dwight Howard Might Leave

The Los Angeles Lakers need Dwight Howard straight back (via The Los Angeles Times). Does he need them? Listed here is a mad thought. Imagine if Dwight Howard just doesnat like La? What if the advice is followed by Howard fond of every prospective employee? Namely, go find a job that you enjoy because ultimately, a greater income wonat buy job satisfaction. In certain ways, you have to be an L.A. Implant to understand this. No-one loves Los Angeles like Angelinos. In other words, despite what some Southlanders may think, the remainder of the country isn't dying to call home in La. The assumption amongst several fans is that, Howard would clearly want to be with the Lakers. After all, itas the Lakers. We can debate about whether the Lakers or Celtics are the most storied franchise is each of basketball, but I think it's fair to state that no other franchise has accomplished what these two groups have inked through the years. Perhaps that heritage is intriguing to Dwight, but perhaps it's scary. May Howard ever surpass the history that's been developed by Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jerry West, and Kobe Bryant? Actually Shaquille OaNeal, who was simply not exactly a career Laker, led to three titles. That is a hardcore act to follow. As we like to play behavioral psychologist and evaluate the personalities of players, fans. We do not have requirements to produce these types of medical tests, but we do it anyway. So, here's mine. Like many professional players, Dwight Howard has exploded up being admired, respected and idolized by people around him. The attention is liked by him. He wants to be loved and courted. Demonstrably he's maybe not unique in this respect. Lots of players are in this way. Where he is the desirable athlete on the market Howard is entering that unique free-agent period. He will be wined, dined and chased. What if Dwight doesn't truly feel loved by L.A. ?? After all, that is still Kobeas city, even with a Achilles and an uncertain future. Kobe certainly has his haters, but there's also a bevy of fans in this city who will idolize him forever. Howard should have found out by now that Kobe is not just planning to give a lot to Superman of love. Howard provides the impressions (playing psychiatrist again) that he wants to be athe mana on his team. As long as Kobe is here now, Dwight will not be the person. What determines that he desires to sign an extension?, and if Kobe returns next year, feels re-energized Second fiddle...again: Dwight Howard. If people would leave money available so that you can find love someplace else some fans may wonder. Remember, these continue to be people. We often assume that all their choices are financially-motivated and set them on a stand, but five years in Los Angeles may appear like an eternity for Dwight Howard. There's, of course, the problem to be a championship-caliber team. Some supporters may claim that if a championship is wanted by Howard, Los Angeles may give the very best opportunity to him. Why? Here again, some Lakers fans assume that the purple and gold only immediately provides a default road to the playoffs every year. Economically, the Lakers aren't in good shape. Kobeas contract and the true luxury tax implications can give no room to this operation to go. Add in Howardas likely max deal and Pau Gasolas agreement and the Lakers will only have the flexibleness to include veteranas minimums. Again. Remember, the Lakers have no draft picks. If Pau gets traded and Kobe retires after next season, the Lakers could have a lot more cover freedom. However, at that time the Lakers might have to (gasp) restore. Certainly this is a more cynical perspective, but it is not so farfetched to suggest that Dwight Howard might spend the first several years of his contract coping with the difficult task of picking right on up the pieces and the final drop of the Kobe period. Positive, the Lakers can often attract someone to the Town of Angels. Still, the Lakers might not be a true competitor for some years. Dwight Howard includes a decision to produce. If it is about the money and the greatest market, La may be the obvious choice. But, if Dwight isnat happy and would get less profit exchange for an improved office environment, he may certainly leave. Obviously, based on Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Howard can always sign with the La Clippers: Stay tuned in. An interesting summer It'll be.
