Michael Zullo admits he would love to stay with Utrecht but says he has no idea where he will be playing football next season.
The 24-year-old joined Utrecht from Brisbane Roar on a three-year deal back in 2010 and has become an important member of the side with 20 appearances for the Stadion Galgenwaard outfit this term.
He will fall out of contract at the end of the season but the club do have the option to a activate a two-year contract extension when talks begin over his future in the next week.
The Australia international insists he would love to remain with his present employers but confessed that his future is uncertain.
"Things are up in the air right now. The club has the right to activate the extension or not to - so it's in their hands," he said.
"The reality is that I want to be playing games because that will give me my best chance of staying involved with the Socceroos."
