West Bromwich Albion chef Steve Clarke says there's a 'strong possibility' of Romelu Lukaku staying at the Baggies next time Romelu Lukaku Charlie Clarke believes West Bromwich Albion have a 'strong possibility' of re-signing Romelu Lukaku next time - provided Chelsea give the go-ahead. The Baggies will be minus the Belgium international for this weekend's game against his parent club. Clarke rises that Albion is only a stepping stone onto better things for the 19-year-old in-form striker. But Chelsea haven't yet made their intentions clear for next period. There remains an opportunity they will need Lukaku to stay out on loan for another year at least. And Clarke feels that will keep Albion in the driving seat for a potential summer come back to the Hawthorns. aItas something which will come up for debate in the summer," said Clarke. "Chelsea are his parent team, he's their player and they'll decide what they might like to do first and foremost. aThen next, hopefully we will obtain a opportunity to set ourselves in the hat. aIf Chelsea wish to leave him out for another season anywhere I think we would have a solid possibility of getting him back here, but it is a conversation for the summer." Clarke continued: aFor such a small player the atmosphere is the control. aHe has all the features to be a really top person. He is really level-headed and he knows why he came here and what heas surely got to do in the foreseeable future to be a big person at a really big club. aWe can only attempt to help him on the way with that." Clarke is still impressed with the player's attitude both on and off the pitch. The Albion manager admits he frequently needs to 'drag' him off it field throughout the week. aWith lots of good youthful players, large and by they often understand what they've to be to be good players and Romelu fits into that category," he added. aItas refreshing for me as a coach to work with a young person with the perspective that he wants to function as best and everyday improve. aHeas one particular players I have to drag in off it field and say ayou need to have a shower, go and get inside now and incomparable tomorrowas sessiona. aHe is one of all day long those players who'd keep out. He needs to improve all the time, which really is a good characteristic to have.a
