Bayern Munich Experience Barcelona ; Chelsea Accept Swiss Champions - The Tough Tackle

The semi-final fixtures are out for both Champions League and the Europa League and the fans have now been served up a mouth-watering line-up. Bayern Munich take on Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund clash with Real Madrid, while Chelsea FC take on Swiss champions Basel. Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy was the fan who conducted the draw these times. The Dutchman but did express his frustration at former club Malaga dropping out within the last few round, but he believed that they'll come back stronger. The Europa League semi-final pull was conducted first and here are the fixtures a' Fenerbahce can perform the initial leg with this tie in the home on 25th of April. The Turkish side pulled out Lazio within the last round, winning the tie 3-1 on aggregate. Things did get yourself a bit nervy in the 2nd leg when Senad Lulic scored for Lazio, but Caner Erkinas target just 13 minutes later resolved the tie in favour of Fenerbahce. Aykut Kocamanas area are still in the running for the group title as well, thus the former Turkish global can look to obtain the balance right in both the fronts. Benfica are one of the favourites to gain the Europa League this year. The Portuguese team won against Newcastle United within the last round. Jorge Jesusa side is till unbeaten in the domestic group and are one of the most in-form side in Europe. They have lost only thrice all time and Barcelona were the final club to defeat them at home (in the Champions League). They have a powerful attack upfront with Cardozo, Lima and Rodrigo all in good form and they will be considered while the favourites to gain the semi-final against Fenerbahce. Basel were expected to win the second leg against Tottenham with relative ease considering their performance in the very first leg at White Hart Lane and also the fact Tottenham were nearly playing a second line line-up due to injuries. However they made dinner of it. Even though Spurs were down to 10-men after Vertonghen received his marching orders, Basel failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage and it needed a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner. The Swiss winners are great going forward, but are susceptible at the rear, and their defense should come under enormous pressure against Chelsea. Chelsea are the sole English membership left in Europe right now and are being considered among the favourites to win this competition alongside Benfica. ABut Rubin Kazan did give a scare in the second leg. Rafa Benitezas males are still in competition for two games right now a the FA Cup and the Europa League a' but their priority still remains a high four end. So that it will be interesting to observe the Spaniard amounts issues only at that crucial point of the season. Nevertheless the London team undoubtedly seem like the favourites to win this link in writing. The draw for the Champions League fixture was up next and with four of the best groups in Europe remaining in the tournament, it was expected to deliver some mouth-watering clashes and so did it deliver. Manages to do it develop than this? The league leaders of Spain taking on the league leaders of Germany (Bayern have in reality already won the Bundesliga). Nevertheless when one talks about the outcome of the last round, it is probably fair to express that Bayern are in better form currently. The German giants dismantled a solid Juventus side and won the tie 4-0 on combination. Barcelona on the other hand hardly caused it to be through previous PSG within the last few round. Actually, until Messi got on in the second half, PSG looked the likelier area to be eligible for a the semi-final. In the end, Pedroas goal turned out to be the decider and though Barcelona were used to a lure the both the feet, they qualified through on the basis of the away goal tip. It's tough to predict the result of this installation, but Bayern surely look more strong at the back than Barcelona and that might tilt the balance in the favor of the German side. Furthermore, Bayern keep a better report of Barcelona traditionally as well a Barcelona have won only once against Bayern within their previous six meetings, as the German team has managed to get three advantages. While the first semi-final is just a clash between the group leaders, the second semi-final considers both the second put groups of these leagues go head-to-head. Both these clubs have had the same year so far a' they've faltered in the domestic group, while they've done brilliantly in Europe. Dortmund and Real Madrid are the defending champions of Bundesliga and La Liga respectively and both of them are on the brink of losing that subject (Dortmund have previously lost it). Jurgen Kloppas side has gained over the neutrals in the past two months, for their excellent footballing philosophy, extraordinary house support and financial security a' hardly any clubs could claim to possess all these together. However they were given a work due to their money by Malaga in the legendary 2nd knee battle in the quarter finals. It was among the most interesting matches with this competition up to now and Dortmund expected two late goalsAto scrape past Malaga. In reality, it's suits like these which almost hint that it could be written in the stars for Dortmund to win the Champions League this time around. But first they have to experience Real Madrid. The Spanish part also faced a brave fightback from Galatasaray in the 2nd leg. While Ronaldo gave them an early lead, Galatasaray scored three goals in an area of quarter-hour in the second half and it required another goal from Ronaldo to ensure their development in to the next round. Jose Mourinho will undoubtedly be focused on the performance of his defense in this match, although Sergio Ramos was lacking in this fitting. Mourinho is anxious to win the Champions League with Real Madrid, having already conceded the league this year. With whispers wondering about his future at the club, he might would like to sign off any way you like.
